Pattern Library

The Oregon Chapter of the American Foundry Society is providing a "Pattern Library". Patterns may be checked out from the library by Schools involved with AFS and Foundries with Apprentices entered in the Annual AFS Apprentice Contest. The Pattern Library is maintained at:

Willamette Pattern Works, Inc.
2336 SE 9th Ave
Portland, OR, 97214

To check out a pattern from the library contact Bill Beebe at 503-232-0793 or email bill@willamettepattern.com. Patterns may be checked out Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 2:30pm. Additionally, please contact Bill if you have any small obsolete pattern equipment you may wish to donate to the Library.

Patterns must be returned promptly after use and in good condition. Care must be taken when handling and molding patterns. Use care when removing patterns from mold so as not to damage patterns. Small dents or negatives in patterns will make it difficult for others to remove the pattern from the mold. Proper care of pattern equipment will ensure AFS patterns are enjoyed a number of times by those eager to learn the trade.
